August has never been a patient person, and that hasn't changed since he turned super. He's still very antsy and on-edge, which also makes him ready to charge into battle at any time. His a friendly guy and is excellent at manipulating people, but hates being in charge. He can't handle that level of responsibility, and he knows it. He's always adored science and being in the water, so it's no surprise that when he felt the wave of energy from New York, he received water manipulation as a power. He's psyched to have these newfound powers, but at the same time, terrified at what will happen to him. He's tightly linked with the research facilities in Miami, and it's only a matter of time before they realize what he can do. Either way, he's open to assisting others with his abilities, partially because he feels obligated to, but mostly because he wants to train himself. Alright, he's sort of selfish.

August was born at 12:01 AM on August 1st. Everyone had expected him to be born in July, so his parents decided it was only natural for him to be named August. His mother died when he was three after she developed some unknown disease, which sparked August's father to start researching different things, as if he could eventually discover what had killed her. His stressful job has pulled him apart from his son and the two have grown to loathe each other. The simply don't get along, and they never plan to. On the day of the war, August was taking refuge inside a shack by the beach with a few friends, attempting to wait everything out. Just as it appeared to be over, August decided to be the first one out the door, and he was the one who absorbed the energy from the blast, giving himself superpowers. He didn't realize it until later, but the raging waves that followed were caused by him, not some natural occurrence. He's been tentative to use his new powers too much, but he realizes that at some point he'll have to train himself.
